Balloon Museum: Let's Fly LA

- see all dates
Up, up, and away -- for a few more weeks! The Balloon Museum extends its LA run through April 13.
The Balloon Museum invites visitors into a world of contemporary art meant to be touched, moved, and felt, featuring pieces by the 21 artists specializing in inflatable and balloon art.
Let’s Fly, the Balloon Museum's newest exhibition, is based on the idea of lightness and flight. Artists work with the medium of air that allows us to soar high as well as travel to far off destinations. The exhibit also investigates the opposition between heaviness, darkness and gravity in contrast with light, weightlessness, and hovering that could be expressed in the artworks.
The Balloon Museum has had successful runs in cities around the globe, and can be seen as the backdrop in an episode of Emily in Paris.
The new Los Angeles engagment marks the debut of Balloon Museum’s newest work, Mariposa. Designed by Oakland, CA-based LED artist Christopher Schardt, Mariposa debuted at Burning Man in 2023 and is illuminated with over 39,000 full-color LEDs.
Balloon Museum Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 1pm - 8pm
Friday: 11am - 8pm
Saturday - Sunday: 10am - 8pm
Advisory: Visitors are advised that some installations may not be suitable for individuals with epilepsy, balance disorders, or sensory sensitivities due to strobe lights, moving images, and sounds. Special assistance is available if needed.
