Discover what it takes to live and work in space in this hands-on, climb-aboard experience. Using interactive exhibits and authentic artifacts, Journey to Space immerses patrons in the extraordinary conditions of human space travel, including the dangers astronauts face during their missions above Earth as well as the unique challenges and rewards of life on board the International Space Station.

Navigating through the exhibit, patrons learn about weightlessness and the challenges it presents to living in space, while experiencing the sights, sounds, and smells found aboard an orbiting space station. Discover how astronauts eat, sleep, and even go to the bathroom in space, and all the ways in which the forbidding environment threatens the humans who explore it.

Journey to Space opens Saturday, May 25 and runs through Sunday, October 6 inside the Hsiao Family Special Exhibition Gallery on the first floor of the museum. Admission is included with all museum admission tickets.
