The Garfield Recreation Department proudly presents the Whole Lotta Empanada Festival, featuring the Flavor of Latin America. Join 15 empanada vendors all vying for the EMPY, or People's Choice Best Empanada.

Stop by seven additional gourmet food trucks, offering lobster rolls, seafood, Puerto Rican, Mexican, over the top shakes, chicken, egg rolls, Argentinian barbecue, garlic knot sliders, tacos, dessert and more. Don't forget to vote for your favorite. 

The fun also includes live music featuring Mr Love Joy & the incredible Raphy Castillo y El Sexteto Quisqueya Salsa Band, beer, margarita and sangria, pony rides, petting zoo, inflatables, miniature golf, bungee trampoline, face painting, sand art, vendors and a great day of family fun.

The empanada eating contest (2:45pm) features a cash prize. Register to participate .
