Sensory-Friendly Sunday at Museum of Discovery and Science
Enjoy the Museum one hour earlier than their usual opening for sensory-friendly Museum exploration and activities followed by an IMAX film at 12:30 p.m.
To provide a more sensory-sensitive environment for individuals on the autism spectrum, the theater lights are turned up and the sound is lowered. All films are presented in 2D rather than 3D and no trailers are shown before the movie.
Audience members are welcome to get up, sing, walk, dance and shout without worrying about complaints.
Families may bring snacks from home, as well as blankets and other small items to be comfortable.
Guests are also able participate in a variety of sensory based activities throughout the Museum.
Free for both members and non-members. To register, please visit https://mods.org/event/sensory-friendly-sunday-14/.
