Sunken Meadow offers an easy First Day Hike that will require visitors to walk on a boardwalk, paved roads, and well-maintained trails with little-to-no incline.

This sightseeing trail is about 2 miles long and will allow you to see the beach, sound, salt marsh, and woodlands of the park. It is recommended that hikers bring water, hiking boots or sneakers, and appropriate clothing for the weather (the boardwalk can get very windy so it is best to assume it is a bit colder than expected). Bathrooms will be open at the beginning of the hike.
