The 6th annual Santa Monica Pier Día de los Muertos Celebration honors people, places, and ideas that are important to Santa Monican’s through free, family-friendly programming and a two-day public art installation.

Saturday's events include traditional ceremonies and performances, as well as a Pan de Muerto class for kids.

On both days the community is invited to the art installations at the historic Merry Go-Round building.

Saturday, November 1: 3pm - 10pm  

3pm: Traditional Aztec Blessing at West End & Kids Pan de Muerto Class

3:15pm: Parade immediately afterward to the Merry Go-Round

3:30pm: Blessing of the Ofrendas inside the Merry Go-Round

4pm: Santa Monica Ballet Folklorico performances inside the Merry Go-Round

5pm: Mariachi Mexcal inside the Merry Go-Round

5pm: Grupo La Rosa Folklorico performance on the outdoor stage

7pm: Band performance by “All the Vibes Band” on the outdoor stage

Sunday, November 2: All Day

Guests are welcome to return to the Merry Go-Round building to view the community ofrenda and explore several Día de los Muertos art installations honoring loved ones who have passed.
