Join the Urban Park Rangers for a hike through Central Park's northern edge to learn about the fortifications that were built for the Battle of 1812 in the area. The Blockhouse is one of two structures that pre-dates the creation of Central Park.

Please note: Urban Park Rangers are offering outdoor programs with limited attendance so that you can have a safe and enjoyable time in parks. Based on New York State guidance for sports and recreation during COVID-19 [PDF], protocols are in place to keep participants and staff safe and healthy.
