At the annual Snapper and Crab Derby at Captree State Park, kiddos 16 and younger can discover and enjoy fishing.

Prizes are awarded to the heaviest snapper and crab caught each day. Buy, rent or bring your own rod. Weigh ins take place at 2pm. Both the snappers and crabs will be weighted alive and live release is encouraged.

Age categories are as follows:
7 years old and younger
8-12 years old
13-16 years old

The awards ceremony begins at 2:30pm each day.
