The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Environmental Education Center, and the return of in-person programming, with a FREE fun-filled day of classes in the park and online. Join a sunrise yoga class, learn about East River ecology, and more. 

Schedule of Activities:

8am – Sunrise Yoga with Prema Yoga
Start the day off with a breath of fresh air and morning stretches in the Park. Registration for this class opens on Tuesday, September 22.

10am – Virtual Education Class: The Awesome Oyster
Dive into East River ecology through a live, virtual field trip. All learner levels are welcome aboard to study oysters and marine life found in oyster monitoring cages at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Register in advance.

12pm – Lunch and Learn: Connections Between Art, Education, and the Environment
Take a break from your workday to participate in a virtual panel discussion about how Brooklyn Bridge Park serves as a living classroom. Joined by Conservancy staff, past and present, examine the ways in which art and outdoors intertwine and share stories of how the education program and Environmental Education Center came to be. Register in advance.

3pm – Virtual Open Hours: Ed Center Birthday Bash
Get ready for a science-filled party! Crafts, experiments, trivia, live animal appearances, puppet shows & storytelling are all in store for the fun-packed celebration in honor of the Ed Center’s Fifth Birthday. Register in advance.

5pm – Boot Camp with Chelsea Piers Fitness
Incinerate calories and build strength with a one-hour high-intensity interval training. Registration for this class opens on Tuesday, September 22.
