Join the Prospect Park Alliance for family-friendly programming on Independence Day. Explore the park, meet some resident animals at the Audubon Center, and more. 

  • Pond Water Sampling, 12–3pm: Did you know that an entire community of living insects, plants and animals makes the Lullwater their home? Get a closer view with one of Prospect Park's Naturalists.
  • Animal Encounter, 2–3pm: Get up close with Prospect Park Audubon’s fascinating water-dwelling creatures like turtles and fish. Learn fun facts about their habitats, adaptations and roles in the ecosystem.
  • Nature on the Go!, 3–4pm: Enjoy a nature walk along Brooklyn’s only Lake and help lend a hand to your park by removing litter along the way.
