The Kew-Forest School
Summer at The Kew-Forest School in Queens provides children entering Kindergarten to Grade 6 with academic enrichment in reading, writing, and mathematics, along with recreational activities including arts & crafts, dance, drama, field trips, martial arts, STEM, and swimming! Two, four, and six week options are available.
Not only does their program implement academics to prevent summer learning loss, but it also creates opportunities for social-emotional learning. The camp staff lead fun and engaging activities that include youth voices and encourage campers to be the best versions of themselves each day.
Each camp session brings forth a new adventure through various themes like "Under the Big Top," "Safari Adventures," and "Under the Sea." Other camp highlights include trips on “Fun Fridays” to places like LEGOLAND and Liberty Science Center. The camp is excited to partner with Queensborough Community College to offer 60-minute swim classes once a week.
Each day campers are provided morning and afternoon snacks and a nutritious lunch. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon request.
Interested families can attend an on-site Open House. Open House attendees are encouraged to bring their children and can expect a tour of the camp facility as well as an introduction to the Camp Director and staff. Activities for children will be provided that include games, arts & crafts, and face painting.
