The annual kids fishing tournament provides a unique, hands-on experience for youths ages 10 through 16 years of age who reside within City of Hollywood limits. The program begins at the charter vessel marina location with participants signing in and attending a 30-minute fishing clinic conducted by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) and local marine experts. Immediately following the clinic, participants board the 65-foot charter vessel and offshore fish along the coral reefs of Hollywood Florida and the Florida coast.

The fishing trip lasts approximately three hours. Parents are not permitted on the vessel during the fishing tournament. During the outbound trip, the crew will conduct safety training and teach participants; resource stewardship; including ethical fishing skills and ways to protect Florida's aquatic environments within our community. Snacks, water, and lunch will be provided throughout the trip. Each participant will take home their own rod and reel. Awards will be given to anglers in the following categories; Largest Fish, Smallest Fish, Most Unusual Fish, Most Fish, and more.
