The Hattie Bauer Preserve holds both the remnants of the famed Orchid Jungle and a treasure trove of rare plant life alongside historic structures. Join the parks department on a guided tour into the intriguing history of Orchid Jungle, uncovering the factors that led to its decline and discovering the ongoing restoration efforts led by the parks department.

Advance registration is necessary. Walk-up registration might not be available. Children ages 14 and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult 18 or older registered for the program.

The program is held outdoors and will be held drizzle or shine. Should the program need to be canceled due to heavy rains, high winds, or extreme heat, the department will do its best to reschedule.
