Culver City celebrates Independence Day on July 5 at Town Plaza. This free, family-friendly community event invites residents and visitors alike to gather in the heart of downtown for an evening of live entertainment, patriotic tributes, and a dazzling aerial drone light show.

Evening festivities kick off with a high-energy performance by Guilty Pleasure Makers, followed by a flag salute and performance of our national anthem.

The evening is capped off with a spectacular aerial drone light show that fills the Culver City skies with synchronized, illuminated imagery soaring up to 300 feet above Town Plaza.

This year’s celebration also features a playful 1980s theme, paying tribute to Culver City’s role in the golden era of filmmaking and pop culture. Attendees are encouraged to join the fun by dressing in '80s-inspired attire and enjoying nostalgic nods to the decade throughout the event.
