The Malibu Triathlon is an epic two-day event that attracts Hollywood celebrities, professional athletes, and triathletes from all over the country. Anyone can come and watch the action while enjoying a beautiful day at Zuma beach. Kids can play at the fun zone with crafts, games, and a photo booth.

There are bleachers set up at lifeguard tower 10 by the transition area (the place where the participants switch from swimming to biking, and then again from biking to running.) Bleachers also line the finish line. Barricades and pennants are set up for those who want to watch along the PCH on the biking path or running path.

Triathletes from around the country, corporate teams, professional athletes and Hollywood celebrities will gather for the 2XU Malibu Triathlon  on the shores of Malibu. Triathletes can select three different distances including:

• Malibu Long Course featuring a 1.2-mile ocean swim, a 56-mile bike ride with amazing iconic ocean views passing Point Mugu rock and into the fields of Oxnard and ends with a 13.1-mile run along the beautiful shores of Malibu, Calif., on Saturday, Sept. 14. 
• Olympic Distance featuring a 1.5k ocean swim, a 40k out-and-back bike course and a 10k out-and-back run course along Zuma Beach on Saturday, Sept. 14.
• Classic Distance featuring a half-mile ocean swim, a 17-mile out-and-back bike course and a 4-mile out-and-back run course along the roads of Malibu on Sunday, Sept. 15.
