Heal the Bay Aquarium
Heal the Bay Aquarium inspires understanding and conservation of California coastal waters, watersheds, and marine life through education, interaction, and discovery. Located at beach-level just below the carousel at the Santa Monica Pier, the Aquarium is open to the general public daily and offers animal feedings, wildlife science demonstrations, and story time.
The Aquarium features over 100 local animal and wildlife species on exhibit as well as hands-on activities for families and kids of all ages. It is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the Pacific Ocean and marine science without getting your feet wet. Plus, inside the aquarium you can visit the gift shop for zero-waste goodies, novelty plushies, green travel items, limited edition Heal the Bay gear, and more.
The non-profit organization Heal the Bay operates this aquarium and hosts science camps, birthday parties, in-house education programs, and field trips that serve more than 100,000 students annually.
