Camp Ocean Pines

At Camp Ocean Pines, all campers are accepted and celebrated, from the awkward kids to the sky kids, the loud kids, and those who love to wear capes. Every child is accepted for who they are, with a commitment to helping them grow into the humans they want to be. The program focuses on fostering connections among both new and old friends, exploring the natural world, and guiding campers on their journey of personal growth.

Situated on the Central Coast of California, halfway between LA and the Bay Area, Camp Ocean Pines is nestled in a Monterrey Pine forest with a picturesque view of the Pacific Ocean. The camp's small size, accommodating a maximum of 85 kids with a staff-to-camper ratio of 1 to 4, contributes to a close-knit community where everyone knows each other and welcomes newcomers into the camp family. Each camper resides in a cabin with nine other kids of similar age and gender, accompanied by a counselor who is intimately acquainted with the details of each camper's personality.

Campers have the freedom to shape their daily schedules by choosing from over 50 activities, including archery, meeting the animal ambassadors, tie-dye, and more. Additionally, they can embark on off-site adventures such as kayaking or beach outings. The day concludes with shared experiences with all of camp from silent discos, scavenger hunts or campfires.

Offering 6-day or 13-day sessions throughout the summer for kids aged 7 to 16, Camp Ocean Pines provides families with the opportunity to drop off their campers and be part of the move-in experience. The camp encourages a tech-free environment for campers and staff, promoting a break from devices in favor of face-to-face interactions with friends. Throughout the week, families can stay connected through uploaded photos showcasing the fun activities. At the end of each session, families are invited back for a camp BBQ and a slideshow highlighting the week's adventures.

Camp Ocean Pines offers Teen Adventure Trips for teenagers looking for independence and adventure. The trips include road trips along the California Coast exploring the Santa Cruz boardwalk, kayaking in Monterey Bay and ziplining through the redwoods. Teens will create lifelong friendships and explore their destinations beyond the typical tourist experience. The staff are trained to keep the Teens safe while letting them explore these new environments. These trips are perfect for any kid with a passion for adventure!
