Camp Ocean Pines

At Camp Ocean Pines, all campers are accepted and celebrated, and encouraged to be the best version of themselves. Every child is accepted for who they are, with a commitment to helping them grow into the humans they want to be. The program focuses on fostering connections among both new and old friends, exploring the natural world, and guiding campers on their journey of personal growth.

Situated on the Central Coast of California, halfway between LA and the Bay Area, Camp Ocean Pines is nestled in a Monterey Pine forest with a picturesque view of the Pacific Ocean. The camp's small size, accommodating a maximum of 85 kids with a staff-to-camper ratio of 1 to 4, contributes to a close-knit community where everyone knows each other and welcomes newcomers into the camp family. Each camper resides in a cabin with 8 or 9 other kids of similar age, accompanied by one or two counselors who are intimately acquainted with the details of each camper's personality. Upon registration, families select the gender cabin option that is best for their camper, including an all-gender cabin option.

Campers have the freedom to shape their daily schedules by choosing from over 50 activities, including archery, meeting the animal ambassadors, tie-dye, and more. Additionally, they can embark on off-site adventures such as kayaking or beach outings. The day concludes with shared experiences with all of camp, from silent discos, scavenger hunts or campfires.

Offering 6-day or 13-day sessions throughout the summer for kids aged 7 to 16, Camp Ocean Pines provides families with the opportunity to drop off their campers and be part of the move-in experience. The camp encourages a tech-free environment for campers and staff, promoting a break from devices in favor of face-to-face interactions with friends. Throughout the week, families can stay connected through uploaded photos showcasing the fun activities. At the end of each session, families are invited back for a camp BBQ and a slideshow highlighting the week's adventures.

Camp Ocean Pines also offers dedicated teen programming, both a Teen Adventure Program to explore the Central Coast and take a surfing lesson, go ziplining, camping, and so much more. Additionally, teens can participate in the Teen Leadership program, dedicated to helping teens explore and grow their potential, while earning community service hours and making lifelong memories in the process.&n
