Start your Fourth of July fireworks season early at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow or at a veterans celebration at Town Park in Lido Beach on Saturday night.  At Caleb Smith State Park Preserve, take a look at some of the many creatures that blow bubbles to survive. These are just a sample of some of the great family-friendly entertainment on Long Island this weekend.

Elsewhere, head out to Brookhaven to Long Island Live Steamers this Sunday and ride steam, diesel, and electric trains operating on eight acres of scale tracks.
