Bayou Bend presents an afternoon celebrating art—created by and for children—that forges connections between Texas history and American heritage.

Children and their families may take part in art-making workshops; participate in a collaborative group project; play interactive games; and see demonstrations that emphasize the way that art keeps everyone connected to the past, how it improves the present, and why preserving it is important for the future. As the former estate of the Hogg family, one of the great Texan art-collecting families, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens serves as a fitting focal point for the styles and periods of art represented on this day.
