Camp Awosting

Camp Awosting is a close-knit traditional overnight camp that emphasizes individual attention for boys ages 6 to 15. Camp is located on beautiful Bantam Lake near Litchfield, Connecticut. Activities offered include sports (baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, tennis, golf), waterfront (including waterskiing), extreme adventure (high/low ropes, 1000-foot zip line, climbing tower), arts & crafts, ceramics, laser tag, outdoor camping, and more, plus a trip program for senior campers. Camp Awosting is one of the oldest private boys camps in the US, in continuous operation since 1900. It’s a great first-time camp experience!

Camp Awosting specializes in 2- or 4-week sleepaway sessions. Days are structured to include both instructional and elective time for activities. Boys also have frequent co-ed interactions with sister camp Chinqueka, located just 5 miles away on a different lake. Camp Awosting has been owned and operated by the Ebner family since 1948.
