The Brookfield Academy for Mini Musicians introduces a satellite location in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago as Chicago Mini Musicians! Mini Musicians classes are packed full of fun, but the “secret” goal is education, not simply entertainment. From socialization to turn-taking to language development to motor skills, the Mini Musicians curriculum is full of playful and engaging songs and rhymes that lead to an explosion of musical and non-musical skills that extend far beyond the classroom. 

Over half of the 200+ songs and rhymes that make up the Mini Musicians curriculum are originals written by founder/owner “Ms. Clara" D’Onofrio, a 5th generation musician, daughter of two symphony musicians, and the recipient of a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. A professional recording of all songs from class is included in your child’s tuition, along with an illustrated lyric coloring booklet that brings the songs to life. These recordings can be streamed directly from the website 24/7 and provide countless hours of educational entertainment at home, in the car, and anywhere else that kiddos enjoy listening to playful and imaginative songs.

As beneficial as these classes are for little ones, watching friendships develop among the caregivers in the classes is also the heart and soul of all Mini Musicians classes. Over the past 12+ years, strong friendships of both children and adults have started in these music classes, making these classes not just a music program, but a community.
