Visiting the Sloomoo Institute: Soho's Museum of Slime Produces Ooey-Gooey Fun

Stretch, mold, squish, and play with slime to your hearts content at the Sloomoo Institute in Soho.

From its DIY slime bar, whose products far outpace our favorite make-at-home slime recipes, to being slimed at Sloomoo Falls, the Sloomoo Institute is a slime lover's paradise and an over-the-top sensory experience that left my daughters begging for more slime time.

Best Snow Tubing near Philly for Families

This article is in the process of being updated for 2025!

We've rounded up the best places for snow tubing near Philly for the ultimate winter fun.

Winter fun hardly gets more exciting than this, and we've rounded up our favorite places to go snow tubing near Philadelphia. As a kid, my snow tubing experiences consisted of my dad pulling snow tubes behind his 4-wheeler near our house. Safety standards have changed in the Philly area since the 1980s, and now we don’t have to resort to such creative measures. So get ready to ride the slopes down carefully crafted lanes from the Lehigh Valley to the Poconos at these snowy spots packed with cold-weather family fun. Nowadays, snow tubing is the perfect all-ages winter activity, with no gear or experience required.

For more winter excursions, check out our favorite sledding spots near Philly and our list of family-friendly skiing and snowboarding destinations. All of our favorite wintertime highlights can be found in our Winter Activities Guide for Philly Families.

All-Inclusive Hyatt Sunscape Coco Punta Cana Resort is the Perfect Sunny Family Vacation

Go from the pool to the beach and back again without ever leaving the resort.

If you're searching for an affordable, all-inclusive resort for a family vacation in a tropical paradise, I have a new favorite: Sunscape Coco Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. On a recent vacation, my family loved the family-friendly activities, which are perfect for all ages. We also loved that the resort is on the smaller side, and while it provided all the amenities, it was more intimate and easy to navigate.

We always appreciate the all-inclusive style resorts, because you get unlimited access to dining, refreshing drinks, and tons of activities without worrying about extra costs. My husband always says he loves putting his wallet in the safe and not getting it out until it's time to go home! And this resort skimps on nothing.

Read on for all the details about the Sunscape Coco Punta Cana Resort and why it's the perfect all-inclusive resort for families. Check out more of our favorite all-inclusive resorts for families and also our favorite warm and sunny family vacation ideas. They're both in our Family Travel Guide.

Best Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks and Ponds in Westchester

Westchester is home to a host of outdoor ice skating rinks. And what these ice skating rinks—ranging from outdoor ice skating rinks to ice skating on local ponds—lack in upscale amenities, they make up for in old-school charm. In most cases, you'll need your own pair of skates to glide across these ice skating rinks in Westchester, plus below-freezing temperatures to ensure it's safe to set foot on the county's frozen ponds.

If you just can't wait for the ice to freeze, you can find plenty more seasonal fun in our Winter Fun Guide for Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
