Sandy Springs Lantern Parade
Families head to Morgan Falls Overlook Park for Sandy Spring's "Take it to the River" Lantern Parade.
Festivities begin at 6pm with food, entertainment and children's activities at Steel Canyon golf Club. The parade itself starts at 8:15pm and ends with everyone gazing at the lanterns on the river. Families BYOL (Bring Your Own Lantern) to participate. Check the event website for purchase locations as well as templates for how to make your own floating lantern.
Park at North Springs United Methodist Church. The $5 parking fee goes towards NSUMC outreach program.
NEW this year! As the parade arrives at Morgan Falls Overlook Park, there will be a magical, immersive experience allowing participants up-close and personal encounters with the larger-than-life, iconic "Take it to the River" lanterns. The up-close lantern encounters will include Jeremiah the Bullfrog, Georgia Kissyfish, and Alice the 25-foot Albino Alligator!
