Long Island has no shortage of farms on Long Island, but not all farms are created equal. From petting zoos and playgrounds to festivals and u-pick, the farms we've hand-picked below are sure to make a family outing unforgettable. 

My family particularly likes farms where we get to spend substantial time feeding and petting the animals, as well as farms with interactive play equipment–and LI has some great options for both.

Día de los Muertos is a vibrant Mexican holiday, and we've rounded up 15 Day of the Dead events in NYC where kids and families can celebrate the holiday while honoring the memories of loved ones.

Families can enjoy a celebration at the Children's Museum of Manhattan, complete with performances, crafts, and storytimes, create nicho boxes at Wave Hill, or spend an entire day in Green-Wood Cemetery.

Día de los Muertos in Los Angeles has vibrant celebrations across the city in many neighborhoods and cultural institutions that honor the Mexican tradition of remembering and celebrating loved ones who have passed away. 

Spirited Day of the Dead celebrations are steeped in traditional arts and culture throughout Southern California. Children may be familiar with these celebrations from movies such as Coco and The Book of Life. Expect Aztec dancers, mariachi musicians, Calavera face painting, and sugar skull decorating. Ofrendas, or altars, are also created to remember loved ones and are often the centerpieces of Día de los Muertos events.
