Dance Classes for Kids: Orlando and Orange County

Bella Ballerina —Winter Park

Bella Ballerina offers ballet, jazz, and tap dance classes for kids as young as 18 months through 10 years old. For the youngest dancers (18 months-2.5 years), parents or guardians can participate. Guests can book a free trial class as well.

Bollywood Dance Academy — Gotha

This dance academy specializes in all forms of Bollywood dance, aerial silks, and tumbling classes for ages 3 and up, as well as adult classes. Bollywood dance style is a modernized version of classical and folk Indian dance. Dance camps are also available during the summer.

Brite Star Twirlers  — Orlando (Multiple Locations)

Brite Star Twirlers offers a baton twirling, dance/poms, and ribbons dance classes for boys and girls ages 5 and up. Classes are offered at several locations in Orlando, as well as afterschool programs at local schools.

Central Florida Dance Center — Winter Garden

Choose from a variety of programs at Central Florida Dance Center, including twirling classes for little ones ages 2-6, as well as jazz, hip hop, ballet, and lyrical dance classes for ages 7 and up. The Teen Accelerated Program is also available for ages 12 and up.

Central Florida Irish Dance — Multiple Locations

Have a little dancer that wants to try out a new style? Sign them up for Irish step dancing classes with Central Florida Irish Dance. The studio offers a Jump n’ Jig preschool program for ages 2-5, as well as classes for a variety of experience levels for children and adults. Classes are offered at 10 locations around Orlando, and free trial classes are available.

Dance 360 Orlando — Orlando

There’s a program for all ages and levels at Dance 360. Options include hip hop, jazz, lyrical, tap, acro, ballet, musical theater, lyrical/contemporary, combo classes, and even a Tiny Dance program for two year olds.

Footworks Dance Studio —Winter Garden

This studio provides a large selection of dance classes for ages 2-18. Preschool programs include a Dance with Me parent involvement class for ages 2-2.5 and Creative Movement classes for ages 2.5-4. Older kids and adults can choose from ballet dance class, tap, hip hop, acro, musical theatre, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, pointe, and even aerial silks/lyra. Themed summer dance camps are also offered.

Russian Ballet Orlando — Orlando

Russian Ballet of Orlando is a professional academy for all experience levels beginning at age 3, utilizing the Vaganova method of classical ballet dance class training. Also offered is a FREE ballet program called Project Relevés for ages 3-7.

Starz Dance Galaxy — Fern Park

Dancers as young as 2 years old all the way up to graduating seniors can partake in classes at Starz Dance Galaxy. A mix of classes are offered, including acro, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, jazz, and combo classes.

3D Motion Dance — Apopka

Based in Apopka/Altamonte Springs, 3D Motion Dance studio offers classes for ages 2 and up, including leaps and turns, lyrical, jazz, acrobatics, ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, and pointe. Call to schedule a free trial class.

Emotions Dance — Longwood

Classes for ages 1.5 through adult are available at Emotions Dance Studio. A variety of genres are offered including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, and hip hop dance classes. The studio also has a youth performance company and a professional dance company.

Focus Performing Arts Studio — Lake Mary

Focus Performing Arts Studio provides dance training for ages 3 and up in dance forms such as tap, ballet, jazz, acro, lyrical, hip hop, musical theater, and technique.

New Dimensions Dance Academy — Oviedo

Have a homeschooler wanting to try dance? New Dimensions offers a homeschool/day class program for ages 5-13 with options such as ballet, technique, lyrical, jazz, and leaps and turns. Afternoon/evening classes are also available for a range of ages, including ballet, pointe, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and even a princess dance class for ages 3-6.

Skyra Studios — Altamonte Springs

Skyra Studios trains youth dancers ages 3 and up in forms of instruction such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, Afro Latin fusion, and contemporary. Skyra also has a ballet conservatory and a competitive company.

University Performing Arts Centre (UPAC)— Oviedo

UPAC’s schedule includes a mix of classes, levels, and styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, pointe, acro, and hip hop dance. Classes are available for ages 2-18. Competitive programs, summer camps, and adult classes are also offered.  

Xtreme Dance — Sanford

Teaching dancers as young as 18 months, Xtreme Dance Studio helps foster self-confidence and individual growth for all ages through a variety of dance styles. These include ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, hip hop, acro, musical theater, and more. Pre-professional day programs are available for those looking to pursue a career in the arts.

Celebration Arts Academy — Celebration

This locally owned performing arts academy provides over 70 classes per week for boys and girls in ballet, aerial arts, acro/tumbling, tap, trampoline, Broadway dance, musical theater, hip hop, and more. Themed summer camps are also offered.

Dance Station Orlando — Davenport

Dance Station Orlando provides dance, movement, and fitness classes for children ages 2 and up. Class options include creative movement, musical theater, acro, hip hop, ballet, jazz, tumbling, tap, acting, and vocal training. Contact the studio to sign up for a free trial class.

Hozanna Ballet Academy — Kissimmee

Family owned and operated, Hozanna Ballet Academy offers dance training based on biblical principles in a Christian atmosphere. Styles offered include ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop dance classes. An afterschool program, seasonal camps, and music classes are also available.

JMB Dance Academy — St. Cloud

JMB Dance Academy specializes in acrobatic arts. Class options include acro, ballet, hip hop, hazz, lyrical/contemporary, and tap dance for both recreational and competitive dancers. The Academy also offers preschool programs for ages 18 months through 4.5 years, as well as special needs classes.

Moonlight Dance Studio — St. Cloud

This dance studio offers a Twinkle Star program designed for ages 2-5, homeschool programs in ballroom, ballet, Latin, and jazz dance, as well as Ballerina Storytime dance classes, and Zumbini music and dance. Evening classes include classical ballet, musical theater, jazz, lyrical nallet, hip hop, contemporary, and Broadway jazz.

Salsa Heat Dance Studio — Kissimmee

Salsa Heat offers a youth salsa academy for ages 5-12, perfect for kids wanting to learn the fundamentals of different Latin dances, including bachata and hip hop, with an emphasis on salsa dance.

Upsurge Dance Company — Kissimmee

Both recreational and competitive dancers can choose from a mix of classes at Upsurge Dance Company. Styles offered include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro/tumbling, Mommy & Me, technique, and combo classes.
