Evelyn’s Corner is a cozy process-based art studio for children ages one through ten located at 2201 Pine Street in Philadelphia. Children are guided to take risks, express themselves, and follow their own creative interests. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individualized attention and a cozy feel. Register by the week or drop in to a class—no need to commit to a session!

From Wonder offers immersive, creative classes inspired by the interests of young children, drawn directly from the curiosity-based curriculum of experienced early childhood educator Nicole Nelson. This summer, Giocare Playspot will host two themed classes for 4-6 year olds: Everyday Heroes (July 10-August 14, Mondays, 1-3 PM) and Adventures in Space! (July 12-August 16, Wednesdays, 3-5 PM). In each class, children will explore these themes through multi-sensory projects, mixed-media inventions, costuming, songs and storytelling, open play, and much more! Classes will foster skill development while nurturing these young explorers. From Wonder aims to help children develop a passion for learning by allowing them to bring their own ideas to life and to work together to create something wonderful.

FunFit Kids

FunFit is an interactive sports program designed to help children develop physically, socially, and cognitively. FunFit is structured to be age appropriate, encourage participation, and focus on progressive learning through what FunFit calls the 3 R’s: Refine, Rehearse, and Repeat. Instructors put an emphasis on the child’s individual needs and interests while engaging them in a variety of movement experiences through play, drills, and games.

FunFit teaches children the fundamentals of gross motor function, sports skills, healthy living, sportsmanship, and teamwork. However, the most important benefit is that children gain confidence and self-esteem. Participants are progressively challenged as the program evolves, acquiring the skills necessary to become well-rounded athletes. This program will ensure that  little athletes will have the proper fundamental tools to play a variety of sports, gain confidence, and maintain an active lifestyle.

10-week Ayurvedic Pregnancy Care Series starts 4/3! Classes take place Mondays, April 3rd-June 12th, from 3-4 PM at Goorus Yoga. The seires is led by Martha Soffer and Aleiela Allan of Surya Spa. Sessions can be booked individually ($25/class) or as a series.

Hall Swim Academy offers swim lessons for students ages 4 months through adult. Its commitment is to teach swimmers how to be comfortable, confident, and successful in any aquatic environment. Swimmers will master skills such as floating, submersion, breath control, and propulsion. Once students have learned the basics of swimming, including the four strokes, it is important to master good technique.

Hall Swim Academy's instructors take a kind and patient approach so that any swimmer will feel comfortable in the water. Lessons are fun but extremely productive, so each swimmer progresses very quickly.

How Sweet It Is offers a kids' seven-week summer drop-off program with art instruction provided by 320 Arts & Culture. You can sign up for the full seven weeks, one week, or one day. Classes are for children ages six and up.

Inspired by Zoe's mission and priority is to inspire children to express themselves through D.I.Y. arts and crafts. Arts and crafts have a great significance in children's academic performance, social development, and cultural and leadership skills. Insipired by Zoe's art classes are set up to influence all of these skills and impact children of all ages. They also offer Open Craft and Play; they provide crafters with a craft menu that includes many options, from tie-dye to clay molding to customized candles. During class, crafters enjoy building 3-D objects, stitching, sculpting, painting, and so much more. The studio leaves a great impact on crafters, some of whom struggle to express themselves in and outside of the classroom. Inspired by Zoe has received a signifacant amount of feedback on the improvement of crafters from their families. Inspired By Zoe's purpose is to inspire all.
