July 4th Magic Sparkler Wand Craft
Everyone loves sparklers on the 4th of July, but they aren't safe for all little hands. This 4th of July we have a safe sparkler magic wand craft for all the littles in your life. This is a super easy craft to do and one of the best parts is that the kids can go on a scavenger hunt to find the perfect wand before sparkling it up.
Here’s what you need :
- Since this IS a magic wand, encourage the kids to run out into the yard or take a trip to the park and find the perfect “wand” ( twig, stick, small branch). This is usually the best part of the craft since kids love to make things personal and what better way to do that than picking out your own wand from nature.
- Decorations can include ribbons, glitter pipe cleaner, wire stars, washi tape or whatever you have on hand. Plus scissors and glue.
Step 1: Wrap your ribbon around the wand and glue to wand.
Step 2: From the middle, wrap a pipe cleaner tightly around the top of the wand a few times, leaving long ends. Repeat this step as many times as you want with other colors and your wire stars until you have a colorful crown.
Step 3: Bend the pipe cleaners and the wire stars in a zig zag pattern.
ABRACADABRA- a magic sparkler wand right in time for the 4th. This is such a festive wand for Independence Day and a perfect take along to see the fireworks!
