Great Outdoor Birthday Party Places for Kids In and Around Boston

For kids who love animals, nature, and adventure, an outdoor birthday party just seems right. Even if your young adventurer’s birthday is in the winter, there are good options for outdoor parties. And at this time of year, it almost seems criminal to be indoors when you could be outside enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.

However, planning an outdoor party can be tricky. The weather is always a wildcard, so you want to minimize the variables. This means having a party somewhere you can choose a package and know exactly what you’re getting. It also means that at least part of the party is under cover, so you don’t have to worry about nixing the whole thing if the weather isn’t cooperating. I've found four really fun party places for kids in and around Boston that fit the bill – read on, and starting planning an epic outdoor birthday celebration!

Best Mother's Day Brunches in New London County

Mother's Day now out ranks other occasions in my life to be celebrated, since motherhood is certainly my most important accomplishment to date.  Each year, I anticipate the handmade cards, coffee in bed, and few, extra moments of sleep.  But almost as much as I excitedly wait for those things, I count down the days to one of the best meals of the year: Mother's Day brunch.  We reserve a brunch outing for this one Sunday in May, and include our entire extended family, which makes it even more memorable.  Interested in toasting Mom with a mimosa or omelet made to order?  The selection of Mother's Day brunch spots in New London county is fantastic.

MOMMY POPPINS TO LAUNCH NYC KIDS ACTIVITY APP WITH INDIEGOGO CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN

Mommy Poppins is Raising Funds to Offer App Free To Readers

New York, NY-May 17, 2013-Mommy Poppins the free website covering the coolest, most enriching and off-the-beaten-track things for kids to do in NYC, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Boston and Connecticut announces the launch of an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the creation of their NYC app.

The Mommy Poppins app will allow parents to find all the great places featured on Mommy Poppins--spots where kids can create, be active, learn, shop, eat and more--right on their phone.  Mommy Poppins founder, Anna Fader says “Our goals were to give the app the same thoughtfulness and thoroughness of the curated content, easy navigation and personal editorial style of our website—something that doesn't exist in any other kid-friendly activity app out there.”

To help them raise the capital required to make the app free and accessible to everyone, just like the website, Mommy Poppins has launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. “Many people don’t want to pay for an app, but a crowdfunding campaign allows our users to be involved in the creation of the app from the beginning and have a personal investment. Plus it’s fun to get rewards for participating,” says Ms. Fader.

Contributors to the Mommy Poppins app campaign will be able to download the NYC iphone app within a week of the campaign end and score other exclusive rewards, like their child's picture featured in the app, a ticket to the Mommy Poppins launch party and even a private consultation with Mommy Poppins herself.

“The app isn't a distant pie-in-the-sky dream, our platform is developed and I am personally editing each and every one of the locations in our NYC app for accuracy,” says Fader. Once the NYC app is completed Fader hopes to add other regions Mommy Poppins covers, as well as an Android version. The ultimate goal is to offer event listings from the Mommy Poppins curated event calendars to the app as well as locations.
