Welcome to 2025! The first weekend of the new year brings some prehistoric fun, sending kids on an epic Jurassic Quest to Pasadena. Monsters of a different kind roar into Anaheim as the Monster Jam monster trucks smash, crash, and soar through Angel Stadium. The Japanese American National Museum welcomes the Year of the Snake with its annual Oshogatsu Festival, featuring kid favorites such as rice-pounding and candy sculpture demos.

Plus, if you're not ready to let go of the Christmas season just yet, this weekend offers one last chance for seasonal merriment and twinkling lights at many of our favorite spots, including Universal Studios, the LA Zoo, and Descanso Gardens.

Everyone's favorite best friends, Elephant & Piggie, are at CAMP in Dunwoody this weekend! Fans of the Mo Willems' characters (well, really, their parents) will want to quickly reserve a spot online to snap pics, do arts and crafts and take home a framed photo.  One of our favorite monthly free events takes place this weekend, the UPS Second Sunday at the High Museum of Art. It's a great day to visit the High for free admission, family-friendly programming, and performances. Visitors to the Atlanta History Center this weekend get to see the grand opening of the Goizueta Children's Experience. The much-anticipated, permanent exhibit is interactive and perfect for kids ages 1-8.
