The 2D dining craze has officially landed in NYC with the opening of Shirokuro, a black-and-white destination that's 100 percent hand-drawn and makes it feel like you're dining inside a doodle.
We had to check out the eye-catching East Village outpost for ourselves, and can report there's more to it than the decor. This unique dining experience deserves to be added to our list of the most iconic, family-friendly restaurants in NYC.

I know from experience that being outdoors helps kids feel less irritable and sleep better. But don't take my word for it; researchers have also found that when parents encourage kids to engage in outdoor activities, they become naturally connected to our planet and care more for its future.
These 30 outdoor activities in nature will spark your child’s imagination. From arts and crafts and sensory activities to outdoor learning activities and physical fun, there are outdoor activities on this list to please every kid. And when everyone’s worn out, we also have some quiet and relaxing outdoor activities.
Check out more green activities for kids in our Earth Kids Guide to Green Activities for the Planet. And if you need even more ideas for outdoor fun, take a look at our guide to Top Outdoor Activities Guide for Kids, with hundreds of ideas for ways to learn, explore, and play outside.
