Top Indoor Play Spaces for Toddlers and Preschoolers in Westchester

Tig & Peach in Pelham offers lots of indoor fun for kids 6 and under.

There are some great playgrounds in Westchester specifically for toddlers and preschoolers, but when the weather is less than ideal for outdoor fun, there are a number of indoor play spaces that offer a chance for this age group to jump on trampolines, listen to music, make art, and even take a STEM class!

Here, we've rounded up a few of our favorites across Westchester, with opportunities for drop-in play as well as monthly memberships and more.

St. Patrick's Day Events and Free Parades for Kids on Long Island

Glen Cove celebrates its Irish heritage on March 17. Photo courtesy of the Glen Cove Hibernians

From Rockville Centre to Montauk, from the first weekend of March till the last, Main Streets across the Island come alive with pipers, parade marchers, traditional food, music, dance, and more. Huntington itself swells with visitors on the second Sunday of March when one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day gatherings in New York State kicks off in the village downtown. That Huntington parade is dwarfed perhaps only by New York’s City’s celebration, which this year is Tuesday, March 17.

Visiting CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's Private Bahamas Isle, with Kids

Cruise to Perfect Day CocoCay, a private Bahamas island. Photo courtesy of the Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean recently debuted a massive renovation (and renaming) of its private CocoCay Bahamas island. The brand-new "Perfect Day at CocoCay" Caribbean destination now offers three beach areas, a stunning freshwater pool, a helium balloon ride — and what's billed as the water park with the tallest slide in North America. New dining areas, more water sports, zip lines, and additional updates were added to the refresh.

I was invited on the Royal Caribbean cruise out of Fort Lauderdale to see the 125-acre upgrades, including brand-new "floating" cabanas that debuted in January 2020. Read on for what to do at Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, how to get there, and what it might cost your family.
