Kiddie Science Opens in Lefferts Gardens with Classes for Kids

The Brooklyn-based Kiddie Science has had a roaming presence in NYC since 2013, inspiring children wherever it set up shop. But the nonprofit tot science program finally has a permanent home.

It recently opened a STEM classes and camp spot in Prospect Lefferts Gardens in a bright and renovated space that is welcoming to all ages. The location is a work in progress with plans for outdoor gardening in the small backyard and more active experiences such as yoga in the basement.

Science Fiction, Science Future is a fun, interactive display that draws from sci-fi movies and books, as well as scientific research, to create a hands-on experience for kids of all ages—and their parents!

Where to Celebrate Mardi Gras Around Houston

The celebrations of Carnival that lead into Mardi Gras have a rich history dating all the way back to the 17th and 18th centuries in medieval Europe, and have long been a time for festivities and revelry that culminate the day before Lent begins on what is known as Fat Tuesday.
