Eliot Pearson Children's School - Camps

The Eliot Pearson Children's School is the laboratory-demonstration program of the Eliot Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University. The summer program reflects the school's integration of play and learning. It focuses on the whole child and the development of creativity and the arts through a child-centered, project-based approach to learning. The program staff includes alumni and graduate and undergraduate students from the Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University. Students engage in art activities, music and movement, and gardening in addition to engaging project- and interest-based activities throughout the day. They swim daily at the Tisch Atheltic Complex pool supervised by staff and lifeguards who engage them in group and individual water play activities. Students take full advantage of the natural playground and enjoy lots of outdoor water play and exploration.

French Cultural Center of Boston - Summer in French

The French Cultural Center of Boston's Summer in French program offers children a full immersion experience of summer fun and learning. With native French-speaking teachers, a varied and engaging curriculum, and a safe, convenient location in Boston, the program is the perfect way to improve your child's skills and confidence in French no matter their age or level. Each week focuses on a theme with a variety of special activities geared for children to increase their vocabulary and stimulate their conversation skills. Outdoor activities take place at a nearby playground and at the Boston Common.

Ivy Seed STEM Summer Camp

Ivy Seed STEM Camp is an app development day camp that takes place at MIT and Harvard’s campuses in Cambridge, MA. The mission is to run a program that is both stimulating and fun for campers, so that each morning they can’t wait to get to camp to see what awaits them.

At the end of each week, campers are expected to have made demonstrable progress while having a great time and being led by dedicated and engaging expert instructors.

The day camps consist of 1-week sessions that meet Monday through Friday from 9 AM-4 PM daily.

2018 sessions:

  • July 9-13, ages 10-13, Harvard—includes a half-day field trip.
  • July 16-20, ages 13-17, Harvard—includes a half-day field trip.
  • July 23-27, ages 10-15, Harvard—includes a half-day field trip.
  • July 30-August 3, ages 8-11, MIT—mix with international campers. 
  • August 6-10, ages 10-15, MIT—mix with international campers.

Nature Explorer Summer Camp at Temple Shalom

Nature Explorer Camp at Temple Shalom is an 8-week camp for Toddlers (18 months-2.8 years) and Preschoolers (ages 2.9-entering Kindergarten). Each week focuses on a different theme incorporating art, science, math, whole-body play, water fun, drama, and much more. Once a week, a specialist visit will help enhance the weekly theme (for example, during animal week campers will meet real rainforest animals!). 

Nature Explorer Camp relishes the fun and creativity that makes a summer camp so special. The staff is excited to spend the day outside with your children exploring nature, gardening, running in sprinklers, creating artwork, and growing new friendships.

Peabody Essex Museum - Camps

Explore a wide range of old-school and new-school art-making processes from casting to printmaking in PEM’s Summer Studios (formerly known as Arts Adventures Club)! Taking inspiration from PEM's exhibitions and guest presenters, create your own limited-edition series and unique masterpieces, and show off your work in your very own museum exhibition!

Learn how the moon inspires innovation in art and science in Lunar Attraction, peer into the heyday of Art Deco in Ocean Liners: Glamour, Speed, and Style, and be one of the first to see “It’s Alive!”: Classic Horror and Sci-Fi Art from the Kirk Hammett Collection.

In addition to experimenting in hands-on studio explorations, campers will play games and adventure outside to the beautiful garden at Ropes Mansion. How will PEM inspire you?

Riverbend Summer Discovery Camp

Riverbend Discovery Camp is a day camp in Natick open to children 15 months through rising 5th graders. Each program has been thoughtfully developed by Montessori staff, who are aware of the developmental growth and needs of children.

Riverbend Discovery Camp's innovative approach encourages students to explore their talents with confidence, strive for achievement, and discover new ways of thinking in an environment founded on respect and collaboration. Come experience a truly dynamic camp atmosphere.

Riverbend Discovery Camp runs weekly sessions from June 18th through August 3rd. Children ages 5 and up have the option to go to the Boston Sports Club for swim three mornings a week.

Half-day (9 AM-12:30 PM) and full-day (9 AM-3 PM) programs are offered, as well as extended care from 8-9 AM and 3-5 PM.

The Clayroom

The Clayroom's half-day summer camp program is perfect for creative kids who love to do art projects. At the Clayroom, kids ages 6-10 will paint pottery, hand-build with clay, and a work on a wide variety of art projects. 

Lunch is provided. The staff-to-camper ratio is 1:6. The Clayroom is air-conditioned and fully insured. 

Camp runs July 9-August 31, 2018 from 9:00 AM-12:30 PM. $80 per day/$350 per week ($50 savings).
