Fresh air is one of the best antidotes to a grumpy toddler or baby. Entertain them, distract them, and tire them out with a trip to one of these great stroller hikes in Houston and the surrounding area. Even if your toddler can start off walking, these flat, surfaced trails mean you can push along the stroller for when they run out of steam. Sit your kiddo in their seat and get yourself some exercise at the same time.
Houston is blessed with many parks and paths that provide visual stimulation with rivers, trees, wildlife, and more. Many of them have playgrounds, bathrooms and refreshments to make it an easy and fun trip out. Here's our guide to some of the best trails you can hike in the Houston area. And if you're into parks with playgrounds, don't forget to check out our Best Houston Playgrounds and Parks for Toddlers.

Planning a teen birthday can be challenging—it's a tough crowd to satisfy with specific tastes and wants. Luckily Orlando birthday party settings offer a lot of cool elements that teens want to include on his or her big day. There are awesome outdoor spots especially perfect for warm-weather birthdays (and since Orlando has moderate conditions, an outdoor teen birthday can happen through much of the year); fantastic indoor spots for those with more of a theme in mind; and there's always a combination of the two at famous venues, like Universal and Disney attractions.
Tweens and teens may be more outspoken about their birthday party, as opposed to years earlier where you were able to plan the whole event totally on your own. But that's also the exciting part—watching teens mature and getting a taste of what they're into, who is on their guest list, and the chance to work together to create a birthday party that truly reflects who they are.

Pennsylvania families are lucky to have school choice, allowing them to select the type of K-12 education that best fits their child and to have public funds allocated to whichever option they pick—whether that’s a public, private, or charter school. But many parents don’t realize that school choice also applies to online schools, which are growing in popularity now that many families have experienced virtual education and seen the flexibility and other advantages remote schools can provide.
Accredited online schools offer freedom and flexibility, while providing kids with a high-quality education. And, if you live in Pennsylvania, virtual public schools like the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School are free of charge. If you’re thinking about applying to an online academy, here’s what you need to know before picking a virtual K-12 program for your child.
