Thanksgiving has arrived, so gobble up all the fun and festivities this long weekend has to offer. Annual winter festivals kick off the weekend, including Bergen County Winter Wonderland, featuring ice skating, train rides, and bumper cars. Santa makes his grand arrival at tree-lighting celebrations in Red Bank and Point Pleasant Beach.

With Veterans Day and the NJEA Convention falling on the same weekend, many New Jersey students have lots to look forward to on this 4-day weekend, and we've got plenty of ideas for how to keep kids busy. 

The holiday season is off to a bright and early start with the kickoff of Let It Glow-A Holiday Lantern Spectacular, with larger-than-life glowing animals throughout the Bergen County Zoo. Santa's even beginning to make the rounds this weekend, including via firetruck at Rockaway Townsquare.

Halloween Weekend 2024 in New Jersey: Trick-or-Treat and More Things To Do with Kids

Looking for the best things to do in New Jersey this Halloween weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list.

It's time to scare up some fun later this week with Halloween festivities! There are plenty of Halloween activities to choose from on Thursday, including Howl-O-Ween at Turtle Back Zoo, which will have treat stations peppered throughout the grounds. At the Downtown Morristown Trick-or-Treat, meanwhile, everyone is invited for some free fun where local businesses will distribute goodies. 

Celebrations continue into the weekend, in honor of Day of the Dead, with activities in Princeton, featuring strolling mariachis and skull decorating, and in Jersey City, with Mexican artists, dance groups and more family fun.
