A jewel of an island located 30 miles off the coast of Cape Cod, Nantucket is only 14 miles long and 3.5 wide, with an extremely walkable (or bikeable!) downtown. This tiny size makes it hard to find great places to stay, especially with kids!
We’ve put together a list of the best Nantucket hotels, resorts, and even a couple of vacation home rentals that we think are just right for families. Each offers an array of amenities onsite, including luxurious swimming pools (one just for children), babysitting services and kids clubs, private beaches, and even a ride on a vintage fire truck.
Read on to discover the top resorts and hotels on this unique nautical paradise, and for kid-friendly activity ideas, check out Nantucket With Kids: Best Things To Do in Nantucket, MA and our

If you need a simple activity as the weather warms up but before swim lessons start, look no further than your own town station. A fun and family-friendly (and wallet-friendly) trip in between a staycation and a vacation, is a traincation! Here are four towns, Summit, Chatham, Madison and Morristown along the Midtown Direct to Penn Station, and some great walkable activities. Ditch your car and shout it with us, “All-aboard!”
