How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular: See Fire-Breathing Dragons and Awesome High-Tech Effects on Stage in New Jersey
Submitted by Stephanie Ogozalek on
For fans of How to Train Your Dragon—be it Cressida Cowell's children’s book series or DreamWorks' smash 2010 animated film—this new live spectacular is a must see. The exciting, high-flying show about an unlikely dragon tamer hews closely to the movie and is full of over-the-top action sequences. Raven and I took our kids when it played Long Island in August and they're begging to go back again.
Unlike many of these franchise tie-ins, How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular is fun for kids and grown-ups. (In fact, we spotted quite a few childless adults in the audience.) It's an extravagant display of life-size animatronic dragons that walk, fly, breathe fire and even pass gas, plus frenetic lights, intense sounds, acrobatic feats and video game-like computer animations that create an incredible multi-sensory experience.
How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular returns to the tri-state area for seven performances at New Jersey’s Izod Center at the end of this month. If your kids love the film, it's definitely worth the trip. Plus we've got the scoop on how you can save 25% on tickets.
