Taking a vacation with kids can be tricky, especially when it comes to traveling. Flying can be stressful and expensive, and if you're anything like me, it's your least favorite method of transportation even without kids.

Sometimes, half the fun and adventure of a vacation is getting there! Road trips can be a great way to bond with your family, so we've rounded up a few awesome places that are less than a 10-hour drive from the greater Philadelphia metro area. As an added bonus, you can travel to a few of these places by train, too!

New Sesame Place Philadelphia Store Won't Require Park Admission- Now Open

An all new Sesame Street Store has opened at Sesame Place in Langhorne and the good news is you don't need a ticket to the amusement park to check it out! The brand new store opened this October and allows guests to shop without paying the admission fee.

The long-awaited Rose Tree Park Playground is now open in Media, PA. The playground is sustainably made, designed for all ages and abilities, and officially ready to be played on! Construction for the playground began in April, but the plans to build a playground at this park have been in the works for a few years.
