Nestled just south of Atlanta, Peachtree City is the kind of place that feels like it was made with families in mind. With its charming small-town vibe and modern amenities, it’s a community where front porches still matter, neighbors know each other by name, and kids can safely ride bikes to school, or better yet, take a golf cart! Peachtree City, Georgia is famous for its 100+ miles of paved multi-use paths, perfect for walking, jogging, and yes, cruising around in golf carts (a favorite pastime for families). Virginia Beach is a perennial favorite getaway for East Coast families and travelers, beloved for its sandy oceanfront and three-mile-long boardwalk. The beach and Atlantic surf have kept kids entertained for ages.

The length of the beach in Virginia Beach translates into always being able to find a spot for your towel and umbrella, even at the height of summer, and the decidedly G-rated atmosphere in Virginia's largest city means there's plenty of family-friendly activities and spirit. With hotels that accommodate a range of budgets, no-frills eateries, and free entertainment, Virginia Beach is a top pick for families craving a beach vacation.

Situated in Catskill Park, on the northeastern edge of Ulster County, Saugerties, New York, is a charming destination for families. It's a jumping-off point to explore mountains, woods, and gorgeous river views. It's got tons of small-town appeal, including family-friendly festivals, historic landmarks to explore, kid-friendly destinations, plus plenty of Hudson Valley hospitality at the small businesses that dot its main street.
