Boston Children's Chorus Summer

0

Kids ages 7-12 can join BCC Summer for four weeks of singing, friendship, and world-expanding fun. Dive into songs that celebrate diversity, connect us to a global community, and explore social and environmental justice. Activities include singing, dancing, drumming, art-making, storytelling, weekly excursions, and more. Celebrate each week with a Friday evening concert, open to the public. No audition required.

Parent testimonial:
“Our kids loved [BCC Summer]. The multidimensional exploration with dance, drumming (awesome!), and visual arts was especially great from their perspective—and the social justice component has stuck with them. Great repertoire sang that week—they have been continuing to sing all the pieces, along with expressing the music through movement.”

Hill House programs—from early childhood classes to soccer—serve 2,000 children each year. While early childhood classes are the organization’s most well-known and heavily-populated programs, Hill House also continues to promote community involvement through monthly senior dinners, outreach, and seasonal events.

The Hill House Soccer program, which summons volunteer coaches to lead over 500 players, has grown to be Boston’s largest organized fall soccer program. Each Saturday morning of the fall season, Teddy Ebersol’s Red Sox Fields on the Esplanade fill with an eager group of kids learning to play while being introduced to ideas of sportsmanship and teamwork.

Hill House’s scholarship fund makes programs affordable to any candidate. Over $250,000 in scholarship funding has been awarded to children residing in the Greater Boston area since 1966.
