A Class Act NY’s mission is to enrich children’s lives through the magic of performing arts in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Their instructors include prominent Broadway, TV, and film stars as well as casting directors and talent agents who will provide your child with a memorable and invaluable education.

A Class Act NY offers week-long programs that run all summer long for kids 4-18 in musical theatre, drama, on-camera and voice-over acting. Kids of all skill levels and advanced students will train with Broadway and on-camera actors and create memories that will last for a lifetime. Each camp culminates in a final showcase, and in some cases scouting talent agents will be in attendance. The A.D. Players Performing Arts Academy provides training for artists of all ages with a primary focus on ages 5-18. The Academy specializes in nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of young artists. Since 1992, the organization has created a range of offerings beyond academy classes and productions; offerings include educational partnerships such as in-school instruction, after-school programs, and workshops.

All classes take place at the Saint Street Studio in Houston. As always, teachers and instructor volunteers are welcome to apply.

Action Arts Summer Camp

Action Arts Summer camp is a creative and engaging arts learning experience for kids 5-12.

Teachers College, Columbia University, is proud to host the 2013 Action Arts Summer Camp for children ages 5-12. The camp runs from Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm, August 5-16. Each day, campers join arts education professionals to engage in hands-on discovery in music, art, dance/drama and playwriting. Through the use of a developmentally appropriate curriculum, campers engage in exciting theme-based interdisciplinary activities that encourage inquiry and cooperation.

The program cultivates freedom, awareness and expression while nurturing children’s independent voices. The camp also promotes multicultural self-expression, listening, composing, moving, dancing, drawing, sculpture, collage and creative writing.
A typical day at the camp includes integrated emphasis on all arts disciplines, story time, outdoor and indoor free play, snack time, and water play.

Instructors at Action Arts Summer Camp are experienced educators and artists who are or have been part of Teachers College Art, Music, Dance or English programs. They are adept at working with all children and accommodating various abilities.

Actors Connection Performing Arts Camp is one of the top New York and Los Angeles summer acting programs for ages 7-16. Kids and teens work on-camera with 12+ casting directors, talent agents, and broadway stars in one jam-packed week.

Jump-start your acting career through events with industry VIP's in TV and film, commercial, and theatre. Focus on improvisation, cold reading, acting for the camera, TV and film styles, scene work, monologue prep, movement, musical storytelling, and more. Plus, film a high-quality scene for your demo reel and receive a complimentary headshot.

Actors Technique NY - Camps

ATNY offers weekly TV/film summer camps for kids and teens. Camps include acting and audition technique and industry showcases. 

Flexible scheduling is available to fit your summer needs. You can customize days—register for a week or pick any four days in a two- or three-week period that fit your schedule. 

One-week and Two-week camps run June 25th-August 9th, 10 AM-4 PM, Monday-Thursday plus optional Saturdays. (Actors may register for Saturdays only. Saturdays are free to weekly actors.) Early drop-off and late pick-up are available.

Adults & Children in Trust (ACT) - Camps

Located on the glorious 11-acre Cathedral of St John the Divine campus, ACT camps are ʺWhere the Action Isʺ this summer.

July camps (pre-K to age 14): With 5 exciting weeks of ACTivities, campers enjoy theme-based clubs, lake trips, water games, carnivals, special guests, camping trips, gardening, nature, crafts, and more.

August camps (pre-K to age 14): Direct and discover your inner artist, athlete, or adventurer in specialty skill-based sessions. August Adventure Camp offers the youngest campers activities on and around Cathedral grounds, while older campers venture to New York City sites and landmarks. 

Young Preps (preschoolers) explore and embark on nature explorations, arts and sports adventures outdoors, dance and music performances, games, and challenges. Come for 5 weeks in July, 2 weeks in August, or all 7 weeks.
