A Westside Experiment - Young Actors Laboratory at IRT Theater

0

At A Westside Experiment—Young Actor's Laboratory at IRT Theater, students work alongside members of the IRT theater company to build their acting technique and create quirky, original theatrical pieces. This year's unique summer experience is taught in both sign language and English, including a fusion of sign language, spoken word, mime, storytelling, dance, and music. This is a great choice for students hearing, deaf, and hard-of-hearing who are interested in theater but eager to try something more offbeat than, say, Oklahoma. Two performances take place at the end of the camp session.

No prior acting experience is necessary. Camp is for ages 10-17 and follows a hybrid model—in person and/or online depending on the needs of the families.

Please visit the website or reach out for a full schedule and more details.

Nature Explorer Summer Camp at Temple Shalom

0

Nature Explorer Camp at Temple Shalom is an eight-week camp for toddlers (18 months to 2.8 years old) and preschoolers (2.9 to 5 years old). Each week, campers focus on a different theme incorporating art, science, math, whole-body play, water fun, drama, and much more. Once a week, camp welcomes a specialist to help enhance the weekly theme. For example, during animal week campers meet real rainforest animals.

The teachers relish the fun and creativity that make summer camp so special, including exploring nature, gardening, running in sprinklers, creating artwork, and growing new friendships.
