Bikes, Boards + Books is a one-of-a-kind learning center that teaches children how to bike, skateboard, read, and write in its new Brooklyn Bridge Park space. It was formerly known as Blocks, Trucks + Art out in Bridgehampton, NY, offering a BMX/biking program in and around the 18-wheeler known as Big Mama. The center is led by co-founder and former BMX pro Jeff Mayer and former Packer Collegiate Lower School learning specialist Angela De Vincenzo.

Bikes, Boards + Books is now operating out of its new year-round space in Brooklyn Bridge Park with summer day camp staring in June and after-school programming starting in the fall. Programs offer small groups and strong instructional support.

QBK Sports - Beach Volleyball Camp & Classes

If you're looking for a summer day camp that also teaches a fun sport, QBK Sports Beach Volleyball Camp is the place, and it's located in the heart of Long Island City, Queens—just outside Manhattan. Children ages 9-16 are immersed in a beach-like and fun environment while improving hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and balance playing one of the fastest growing college sports in the country. Coaches focus on individual skill development and communication skills as well as teamwork, which is essential for volleyball. All skill levels are welcome.

Octavia Project

The Octavia Project Summer Camp is a free summer camp for young women and trans, nonbinary, and/or gender non-conforming youth who enter grades 6-8 next school year. Together campers create, explore, build, and have fun in daily workshops that combine STEM, art, and writing. Campers also go on field trips that explore art and STEM in NYC. Whether your child likes to write stories, draw comics, or game on your computer, the Octavia Project welcomes them.

An Octavia Project camper finishes the program with:
