Springtime brings one of the most iconic symbols of the season—the blooming of the famous Washington, DC cherry blossoms. Each year, more than 1.5 million visitors flock to the nation's capital to take part in the National Cherry Blossom Festival, a citywide celebration of the pink and white blooms. The festival includes lots of fun events like the Blossom Kite Festival and the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade.

This year's National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place March 20 – April 13, 2025. Peak bloom is predicted for March 28-31, and you don't have to attend one of the festival events to enjoy the flowers.

Here are 15 great places to see the DC cherry blossoms with your family, from the famous (and busy) Tidal Basin to some lesser-known gems. Whichever spot you choose, the blooms will be breathtaking just the same.
