The smell of freshly-sharpened pencils and the crunch of a fresh apple -- it's time for school again! There are so many books out there to get your kid in the mood for everyday academia. Kids starting school for the first time may be experiencing excitement peppered with anxiety over separation from parents. First graders may be having trouble with the transition to longer days, new teachers and new friends. Starting a new school year can be tough on kids of any age. Summer is the season when most people are on the prowl for fresh seafood, so enjoy these last few weeks donning a plastic lobster bib with your shell cracker in hand. There are so many great vacation spots within driving distance from New Jersey. We take a long road trip every year and now that we are into the toddler years, it has become more important than ever to have unique and fun things to do in the car or while flying. But, there is one magic item that never fails, whether in the car or on a plane -- the iPad! Besides being able to watch movies and shows, the one thing that can keep things fresh is having some new apps on there for your little one to discover while on the move to your final destination. Summer is in full-swing and, as the governor announced live on the Today show the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend, the Jersey Shore is back and open for business!
