Free concerts throughout DFW in the summertime, where parents can pack up both a picnic and restless tots and spend an evening under the stars, are beautiful music to our ears.

Free concerts in the summer are a gift to parents. A chance to listen to good tunes? Check. An opportunity to let your kid dance their wiggles out in the great wide open? Check! Realizing that there are outdoor concerts pretty much everywhere in North Texas when the warm weather hits? Check!

These shows are mostly family-friendly, but it's always a good idea to check who's performing in advance to ensure your kids will want to stay for the whole set. Here are some great free concerts in Dallas-Fort Worth this summer, and don't forget to check out our Ultimate Dallas Kids Summer Vacation Guide for more fun things to do.

Mother’s Day brunch is one of those times moms don’t have to step into the kitchen, so saying it's a special occasion is an understatement. The trick is to find a place that takes reservations but also has a perk or two for the kids. Eating out as a family is always an experience, but as all parents know, it can be a lot of work!

We’ve rounded up restaurants across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex that offer mouthwatering brunch offerings and signature drinks and welcome little ones with open arms. Some of our favorites for 2025 include Mother’s Day brunch at the Fort Worth Zoo and brunch at the Adolphus in downtown Dallas.

If brunch isn't your thing, head to one of the best playgrounds in DFW perfect for an early morning, or check a few things off our list of top things to do with kids in Dallas and Fort Worth.
