Portside Arts Center - Summer Arts Camp

0

Give your child a fun and creative summer at Portside Arts Center. Students will be exposed to a wide range of art and artists while creating masterpieces of their own. Students will sculpt, build, paint, draw, and collage their way through the summer during daily art projects. They will go on exciting weekly field trips to local gems like Longwood Gardens, Smith Memorial Playground, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Each day children will have the opportunity to play at Cione Playground and socialize with their friends during snack, lunch, and structured indoor play time. The Sharks (ages 8-12) will have the opportunity to enjoy swimming with their friends every Friday, and the Minnows (ages 4-7) will enjoy weekly dance parties. This year, Portside’s summer arts camp is targeting the weeks that schools are off and there are limited care options so that you can ensure your child is in a safe and creative environment. Camp runs Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm.

Third Street Preschool

0

Third Street is a play-based nursery school that draws inspiration from multiple early childhood philosophies and educators. This eclectic approach provides the opportunity for its exceptional teachers to plan curriculum with the developmental milestones of each age group of students in mind, which is then carried out through project-based learning. Through play, children reenact experiences, try out different roles, express ideas, develop vocabulary, process information, and widen their view of the world surrounding them. The curriculum is scaffolded from age level to age level, to ensure that its learners are mastering developmental goals in all areas of learning and ultimately are prepared for kindergarten.

Chef Toni's Adventures

0

At Chef Toni's Adventures, a premier cooking destination for kids in NYC, campers will be inspired and challenged to explore their cooking skills while expanding their love of food.

While some cooking schools are "paint-by-numbers," Chef Toni's is like a fine arts class. Kids develop their own tastes and talents. They explore farmers markets and community gardens. From time to time they get to meet celebrity chefs and visit commercial kitchens.

Make friends; explore cultures; strengthen math, science, and reading skills; and build confidence in the kitchen and out!
