Coastal Ocean Science Academy

The Coastal Ocean Science Academy connects youth to local coastal habitats and the factors that shape them through authentic research experiences. Based at the Northeastern University Marine Science Center, the one-week middle school and two-week high school programs include trips to field sites around the North Shore, both on and off the water. Scholarships are available to eligible families. Eliot Pearson Children's School - Camps

The Eliot Pearson Children's School is the laboratory-demonstration program of the Eliot Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University. The summer program reflects the school's integration of play and learning. It focuses on the whole child and the development of creativity and the arts through a child-centered, project-based approach to learning. The program staff includes alumni and graduate and undergraduate students from the Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University. Students engage in art activities, music and movement, and gardening in addition to engaging project- and interest-based activities throughout the day. They swim daily at the Tisch Atheltic Complex pool supervised by staff and lifeguards who engage them in group and individual water play activities. Students take full advantage of the natural playground and enjoy lots of outdoor water play and exploration.

Epiic Solutions

Epiic Solutions leads one-week summer programs (July-August) exploring entrepreneurship, innovation, and design for aspiring teen entrepreneurs. Teens in grades 7-12 work in small teams to develop their own innovative solutions and travel across Boston to meet with the coolest entrepreneurs and startups. Programs are perfect for Greater Boston middle and high schoolers that want to learn the entrepreneurial and design-driven mindsets; build creative problem solving, critical thinking, communications, and leadership skills; explore different college and career pathways; and have lots of fun. Epiic Solutions programs culminate in a pitch competition with a panel of local investors/judges, family, and friends. Each week has a unique theme that drives the projects and field trips. Franklin Park Zoo Summer Programs

Looking to go a little wild during summer break? Franklin Park Zoo offers the perfect opportunity to learn about amazing wildlife while having a blast. They offer summer programs for children ages 6 through 13.

ZooCamp at Franklin Park Zoo offers eight one-week sessions throughout the summer. Session themes include "Zoo Explorers," "Nature Detectives," "Animal Adventurers," and "Conservation Heroes." Sessions feature a curriculum of animal, science, and conservation-based games and activities as well as a daily live animal encounter and behind-the-scenes experiences.

The Junior Zookeeping program will be offered in two two-week sessions. Junior Zookeepers will have the opportunity to work closely with Zoo staff in various animal and behind-the-scenes areas.

Gardengate Academy offers a camp suitable for all ages and stages. Their Reggio Emilia style lets children join various activities in a small enviroment. Fun, engaging, and well experienced teachers will guide children in an exciting, busy, and unforgetable camp. Enrollment per day or week is available!

Camp Doli (ages 20mo-4 yrs): This camp caters to many little ones as a first experience. Music, games, science, cooking, art, and outdoor play are some of the activities they will enjoy during their day at Gardengate Academy. They offer the option of enrolling your child weekly or choosing 1, 2, 3, or 4 days. Children who are enrolled “per day” must be signed up for the full 8-week summer session.

Camp Mosi & Mika (grades K-4): This camp includes science, art, music, cooking, games, hiking, and field trips within the area.

Ivy Seed STEM Summer Camp

Ivy Seed STEM Camp is an app development day camp that takes place at MIT and Harvard’s campuses in Cambridge, MA. The mission is to run a program that is both stimulating and fun for campers, so that each morning they can’t wait to get to camp to see what awaits them.

At the end of each week, campers are expected to have made demonstrable progress while having a great time and being led by dedicated and engaging expert instructors.

The day camps consist of 1-week sessions that meet Monday through Friday from 9 AM-4 PM daily.

2018 sessions:

  • July 9-13, ages 10-13, Harvard—includes a half-day field trip.
  • July 16-20, ages 13-17, Harvard—includes a half-day field trip.
  • July 23-27, ages 10-15, Harvard—includes a half-day field trip.
  • July 30-August 3, ages 8-11, MIT—mix with international campers.
