Beam Center is a Brooklyn-based community of learning where artists guide young creators aged 6 to 18. Our hands-on programs in technology, imagination and craft help young people build their character, courage to think for themselves, and capacity for collaboration and invention. We believe that children can best learn to address these challenges by engaging with adults, who make a life and living from pursuits that require invention, design, planning and production: artists, architects, engineers, craftspeople, teachers, designers, chefs, musicians.

Inventgenuity Workshops at Beam Center are after-school activities in imagination, technology, and craft for kids in 2nd through 8th grades. Workshops run from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday; Beam Center is open to kids from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on those days. Snack is provided and early arrivals have a chance to do homework. We offer 8 and 16 week workshops.

iD Tech Virtual Tech Camps are a perfect home-based option for students seeking the collaborative spirit of on-campus programs. For many, learning alongside others is a vital social component. Let iD Tech keep your child advancing their skills, engaging with other students, and building confidence this summer.

Camp features the hottest curriculum in Python, Java, Minecraft, Roblox, AI, Unreal Engine, Adobe, 3-D modeling, and more, with an average of just 5 students per instructor—blending personalized learning and time to socialize. Structured, weeklong sessions are available in multiple time zones (5 consecutive days, Monday-Friday). Days follow a balanced schedule including 2 hours of live instruction and 2 hours of self-paced project development per day.
