Summer is a great time for nature exploration and discovery at Earthplace. Earthplace Summer Camp welcomes campers of all abilities from ages 3-11. All enjoy an unspoiled, natural setting on the trails, by the pond, in the fields, or under the shade of the pine grove. Camps run in weekly sessions from mid-June through late-August.

The staff is trained to ensure a safe and fun summer filled with adventure, friendships, and plenty of fresh air. With engaged staff and a ton of rotating nature-based activities, each week is sure to be a new and exciting experience for even the most frequent camper.

Joppa Flats Summer Camp is the perfect program for children with an interest in and curiosity about nature. Campers ages 6 to 13 have fun and make friends as they discover local habitats and wildlife. Days are filled with hands-on, place-based activities such as wildlife tracking, orienteering, and nature art; games and cooperative challenges; and nature engineering projects. Multiple field trips each week provide full ecosystem immersion for an enhanced camp experience, while small group sizes ensure that campers stay safe and engaged.

After 11 years in San Francisco, Sprouts Cooking Club is coming to NYC to offer kids the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cook in real restaurant right alongside professional chefs. The week-long camps are an intensive culinary experience chock-full of hands-on cooking classes in restaurants, farm harvests, camper cook-offs, and so much more. Send your child on an adventure this summer at Spanish Exploradores summer camp. 

Campers ages 7-13 will learn about Latin America without leaving the classroom. Daily journeys will explore local culture, music, holidays, and, of course, Spanish. For hands-on experience, campers will make and try food from each country including Mexico, Spain, and Chile. 

Crafty kids, get ready for week 1—La Casa (ages 4-6). If your child loves learning, building, and designing, then this is the camp for them. Campers learn about the home in Spanish vocabulary from daily life. Each day, campers will work on their casa (house). It will be their original design inside and out—they pick the colors and make the furniture just like an interior designer. At the end of the week, they get to take their casa home.

Indian Mountain School in Lakeville, Connecticut offers fun and exciting summer programs in Outdoor Adventure Education and the Arts. Camps are open to children and teens ages 3-15.

They are now offering two adventure trips led by expert outdoorsman and IMS Director of Outdoor Adventure and Education Ethan Harris. Trips are open to children entering grades 5-9.

The Children’s Athletic Training School (CATS) has been building physical competence in children since 1984 with its nationally recognized play-with-a-purpose curriculum. It is this spirit of fun that continues to motivate children. The unique format of cross-training using multi-sports games and movement activities inventively teaches skills that enable children to develop a healthy self-esteem.

At CATS summer camp, age-appropriate activities include multiple sports with tennis twice a week, music and movement, arts and crafts, backyard water play, stories and snack, lunch with the coaches, and much more! Camp is for boys and girls ages 3 to 7. Half-day hours are 9 AM to 1 PM; full-day hours are 9 AM to 3 PM.

First-grade teacher and filmmaker Adrian Briscoe and actress and comedian Carla Briscoe are offering a summer film school and acting program for students ages 7-12. The program runs June 19th through July 10th, from 9 AM to 3 PM, at the IFP Media Center in DUMBO.

Children will collaborate to create an original work of art. This term, students will develop a story about a journey through a mysterious and otherworldly wilderness. A preview of the project will be shown at the end of the session, and a digital release and screening party will be held in a theater in September.
